It's sad to think that tonight's episode of Human Target could be the last. This show is like a game of darts played by a novice: good, bad, okay, hitting the guy across the room. But the second season seemed more hit than miss. I was dubious of the addition of Indira Varma and Janet Montgomery to the cast at the start of the season. Chance didn't need a love interest and Guerrero is a lone wolf. But both female leads have added to the show. Giving Guerrero a sidekick, I think, gives him more screen time and who doesn't want that? It does, however, feel apropos that the episode started with tears. That's kinda how I'm feeling.
Let me just note how hot Christopher Chance is, as a character. I'm not completely shallow. Okay, I am completely shallow. Mark Valley is beyond hot. Shades of macho and a nerd vibe that he can't quite conceal. I just know he's good at math, science... lab coat and safety goggles... stopping my fantasizing...
This episode is a hit. HIT! Every character has a role, every character has a purpose, every actor brung it!
Rogue CIA agents, bullets flying, explosions, threats, Guerrero going ninja, lies, loves. It's a comic book story for the small screen. It's a show my mom would watch and say (every 3 seconds), "That's not possible." But in the comic book world anything is possible. Human Target is action, adventure, suspense, but firstly and most importantly a fantasy.
Chance and Ilsa may or may not have a romantic future. This show may or may not have a future. When Chance says to Ilsa, "Don't go," it's almost like he's asking the show. I'm dittoing that sentiment FOX.

NCIS Past it's Prime
More Mark Harmon than any other show can no longer hold my interest if the shows are going to be as lame as tonight's episode. "A Man Walks into a Bar" pulled Kate out of the grave for... what? The writers needed a break? Ratings were slipping and everybody loves Kate?
There's no growth with the characters anymore. I don't feel excited to solve the crime. I'm tired of Tony picking on Timothy. Ziva is still annoying and Gibbs! He checked out 3 seasons ago!
All the flashbacks revolved around Kate, because nothing interesting, life altering, or traumatizing has happened to the team in the past, oh, SIX YEARS!
If this were a comic book series I'd expect Kate to be resurrected in the next episode. She did pretend to be a superhero in a death flashback. The latex suit was hot. I can see that happening...
Except this is a boring person show and superheros are a great big MEH. So, what was the point?
